She made a simple dish of fried rice with eggs. She ate it silently and alone and then cleaned up after herself.1

When she returned to the living room, only her mother was left sitting on the sofa.

Lu Zhaoyang walked slowly toward her but stopped at just a meter away from her and did not sit down. "What is it?"

Lu Zhaoyang was woken up by her phone's ringtone. She looked at the unfamiliar number on the screen and accepted the call without hesitation.

She had a feeling that it was from Huo Chen!

"Is it you…" She asked doubtfully.

"Yang Yang." A familiar voice spoke from the other side. Her heart skipped a beat.

It was really Chen!

"How is your wound? Are you feeling better?"

"Don't worry, I am doing fine here. What about you? Is the family causing any trouble for you?" Huo Chen was now alone in his office.

Before this, there were constantly guards around him to stop him from calling back home.

He knew that they were under the old Mrs Huo's instructions. That made him worried about Yang Yang's situation.
