In the clear waters of the pool, Huo Yunting patiently taught the boy his strokes.

She put down the swim ring that she had intended for Xuxu. Huo Yunting had objected and said that she was spoiling her son.

The man in question was eyeing her at that moment as he whispered to her son, "Should we pull your mom down here too?"

"Yangyang doesn't like to get wet."

Little Huo Xu watched his mother resting peacefully by the pool. She long eyelashes fluttered like the wings of a cicada in the gentle outdoor breeze.

"Is she asleep?"

He saw that she was not moving and knew that she had been busy with work recently. It made him worry for her.

Huo Yunting carried Xuxu out of the pool and asked the butler to see him to bed. He then walked to Lu Zhaoyang and waved his hand in front of her eyes. She did not react.

She had really fallen asleep.

He bent down to pick her up and then carried her inside.

Lu Zhaoyang had been so tired that she fell asleep soon after she sat down.

She remained quiet and inert as Huo Yunting carried her.

He never realized that she could sleep so peacefully in his arms.

He carried her back into their bedroom, which looked the same as it was years ago.

Her presence had brought life to his mansion and made it feel more like home.

Huo Yunting put her on the bed and started to remove her swimwear.

His movements alerted Lu Zhaoyang. She moaned sleepily as she felt someone touching her.

Remembering suddenly where she was at, she opened her eyes to see Huo Yunting just inches away from her.

"Where is Xuxu?" she asked.

Huo Yunting paused in his movements. Then, he swiftly removed her clothes and pulled her into his arms.

"The butler is putting him to bed."

Lu Zhaoyang lied down naked on the bed and dared not move a muscle.

After a few moments, he started to fondle her and savour her smooth skin.

Lu Zhaoyang knew what he wanted and sighed quietly in reluctance.

"Huo Yunting, I'm really tired, let's do this some other time. Go to sleep."

She did not feel like moving at all, much less indulge his seemingly unlimited vigour. She needed to save some energy for work the next day.

"Alright." He was in a good mood and decided to let her off this time.

Years without her had made him better at controlling his urges.

Huo Yunting stopped moving, but he kept her in his arms.

Lu Zhaoyang was held close to his chest and she could hear his racing pulse.

She tried to slide further away from him.

It would probably be safer if they were not touching.

"Don't move." He could control his movements but not his wants and fantasies.

Lu Zhaoyang tensed up and stopped moving, but she did not last long before she fell asleep once more.

The next day, she woke up in his arms as expected. Although she had wanted to move away from his last night, she woke up in the morning curled up in his embrace and with an arm around his waist.
