The appearance of this man, was undoubtedly a savior in his darkness hour.

He suppressed the elation in his heart as he dialed the number.

A few seconds later, the line connected, and the voice that came from the opposite side spoke in broken Mandarin.

"Good day. Mr Xiang. I am Bruce, and I'm very interested in working with you, how do you feel about that?"

"Bruce?"

Xiang Jinxi had never heard of that name before.

"Bruce of the Rondel Gang." Bruce's voice was proud. "It's impossible that you've never heard of me before!"

Xiang Jinxi pondered for a moment and as soon he recalled what he needed, every sense of elation in his heart disappeared.

If he remembered correctly, this Rondel Gang was an underground organization that operates in America, Y Country and many others.

They had stoked the fires of war across the globe, and would not hesitate to use every nefarious means to get what they wanted.

Money laundering, underground gambling, smuggling of antiques, trafficking of drugs and firearms, there was nothing that was beyond them.

"Mr Bruce, may I know why you had looked for me?"

He had rarely made any contacts with the underground societies after all.

"Both of us have the same goal, you lack money, and I lack a proper front, when two strong parties work together, victory will be assured." Bruce was direct and imposing, "Mr Xiang, I'll be frank. My family sees potential in this country, and have sent me over to expand our operations here. I'm lacking a partner now, and since you need help yourself, I decided to look for you."

Xiang Jinxi's gaze sharpened, "What do you want?"

"Once the port is online, I want the right to use that route at my leisure."

"..." Xiang Jinxi kept silent.

Now that he knew what Bruce was up to, he would naturally understand what he wanted to use the port for.

As a citizen of Z Country, if he worked with Bruce, that meant going against the country itself.

And if he was ever found out, the consequences will be horrific, but if he did not agree to it, his company would not last any longer.

By then, his goals would be a forlorn one!

The struggle, was just but a temporary one.

"Sure."

"I knew that Mr Xiang is a smart person, your much more forthright than I've anticipated."

Bruce laughed as he left an address, and it was the same place where Lu Bai had met him days earlier. "I'll be waiting for you here. As for the details, we can hammer it out later. Please take caution, don't let yourself be found out."

Xiang Jinxi cut the call as he picked up the coat on the chair.

"Get the car ready!"

No one knew what he had spoken to Bruce, but all knew that when he had left the villa, his gloomy face was replaced with a radiant smile.

Bruce too was radiant and had see him off personally, offering a sincere handshake, "Mr Xiang, I hope our partnership will be a fruitful one."

"Of course."

A confident smile flashed across Xiang Jinxi's face, "Mr Bruce, wait for my good news."

"I'll be waiting then."

The next day, the tender competition was held at the city hall as scheduled.

After the preliminary selection, the person-in-charge had chosen five companies to join the final bidding process, with Thunderbolt and Xiangyuan in it.
