Feng Tianlan immediately turned around, shocked, to see what was going on and saw Xi Lin and the others rushing towards Xi Jin. Xi Lin rested Xi Jin in her arms while she wiped the blood that was flowing down the corner of his mouth with her trembling hands. Tears were pouring down her face. "Imperial physician! Imperial physician! Big brother, don't scare me," Xi Lin said.

"Jin'er, what's wrong with you? Don't scare your queen mother." The empress fell towards him. Her trembling voice made her speech incomprehensible.

The emperor gave out an order immediately. "Seal off all the exits in the palace. No one is allowed to leave or enter. I want to investigate who exactly tried to harm my Crown Prince," he said.

Shen Yunya raised her head and saw Xi Jin, who had darkly colored blood flowing from the corner of his mouth. She then staggered towards him. The phoenix coronet fell off her head, but she didn't have the time to care about it as she threw herself at him. "Brother Jin..."

"Scram. Don't touch my big brother, you vicious woman." Xi Lin reached out and slapped Shen Yunya's hands away from him while crying. Her hands were covered with the black-colored blood that had come out of Xi Jin's mouth.

When Feng Tianlan saw the dark blood that was flowing nonstop out of Xi Jin's mouth, she realized that he had been poisoned. She then called out immediately, "Azurite, quickly, go take a look at him."

Xi Jin's vision was blurry. However, he could hear everything around him clearly. The dark blood was flowing out of the corner of his mouth. He grabbed the hand Xi Lin was using to wipe the blood off. "I am sorry... Take good care of... Father and mother. I am heading off... to meet... Dai'er."

Xi Lin shook her head while crying. "No, big brother. Dai'er..."

When Azurite saw the crowd surrounding Xi Jin, she immediately carried the empress, who could do nothing but cry, away. She then squeezed her way through the crowd to check on Xi Jin's condition.

As Xi Jin's consciousness was slowly fading, he thought he saw a person in red with a bright smile on her face getting further and further away from him. A blissful smile surfaced on his face. "Dai'er... Do I still have... The rights to love you... In my next life?"

He saw Dai'er getting further and further away from him on a horse. She was waving to him, asking him to chase after her and buy her candied chestnuts.

Azurite stood up and shook her head weakly at Feng Tianlan. "It's suicide herb. There is no cure for it."
