"It's fine. Please sit."1

Qin Chu looked cool and aloof as usual.

Assistant Yang came in with a cup of coffee and placed it before Han Yueyao.

"Thank you." She smiled at him politely without any arrogance of a big star; she looked very down-to-earth.

After all, she was now the most popular new performer.

"You want to talk to me about something?"

"Yes, President Qin. I know it's not proper of me to come to you with my problem. I wanted to talk to Sister Mian, but her cell phone is powered off."

"Yeah. Mian isn't feeling well lately and she's resting. You can talk to me," Qin Chu said in a mild tone, not wanting to scare the young girl before him.

"Thank you, President Qin. Here is the thing…"

Han Yueyao told him the favor that she hoped he could do for her.

Qin Chu nodded calmly.

"I understand what you mean. You want me to help cure your friend, right?"

"Yes."

"He's at the South Side Recuperation Center?"

"Yes, President Qin."

"His name?"

"Lin Hang."

"Got it. I'll contact the hospital and see what I can do…"

"President Qin, I know you and Sister Mian both studied medicine. Even though you seldom practice it, you have excellent medical skills. I know my request is presumptuous, but my friend is so young, and I don't want him to die like this… I'll pay all the fees involved including the surgery expenses… I just want you to help me find a way to save him."

With her position, Han Yueyao knew it was presumptuous of her to ask Qin Chu for help.

He didn't have the responsibility to help her, but whenever she remembered the desperation on Lin Hang's face, she had a lump in her throat. 

She mustered her courage to see Qin Chu and had been worried that he might refuse to see her; but it turned out he wasn't as cold as he was rumored to be. 

"Your request is received. You're Mian's friend. I'll do my best."

Qin Chu never made promises lightly, so he only said he'd try.

But if he promised he'd help, then he'd do whatever he could.

Uncertainly, Han Yueyao stood up and bowed at Qin Chu.

"Thank you, President Qin."

"You're welcome."

"I won't take more of your time. Please keep me updated."

"Okay."

Qin Chu nodded.

After Han Yueyao left the GK Group, Assistant Yang came in to take the coffee away. He had worked for Qin Chu for many years and was close to his employer. 

He commented jokingly, "President Qin, Han Yueyao is even prettier than on TV. She has flawless skin and a down-to-earth personality." 

"So? Are you interested in her?"

"No, no, no. I'm not. I love my wife. Hahaha…" Assistant Yang was a notorious hen-pecked husband; everyone in the company knew it.

"Is Zhixin in the company?"

"Supervisor Jing is assigning work in the small meeting room."

"Okay. Tell him to come to my office after he's done."

"Yes, President Qin."

After Assistant Yang left, Qin Chu thought with fatigue that imprisoning the woman in a house was obviously not the best solution. He must find a way to prove that she was the murderer, so Gao Ran could arrest her. He couldn't deal with her directly because Mian was still in their hands. 

As he lounged on the chair with all these thoughts weighing on his mind, someone issued an invitation of a video-chat on his cellphone.

Seeing who the caller was, he perked up immediately…
